This was my first CB experience and I am HOOKED! The store is adorable, you could spend an hour looking at the store goodies. I had chicken and dumplings for the first time (I'm a New Yorker) and I plan on making a road trip just for them! And oh my god, the biscuits!! Delicious!! And super affordable. The bill was $35 for four people! Whoa. I am a super fan!

Oh Southern food. How have I missed you! I got my favorite the Sunrise Sampler. Where else can you get two eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, hashbrown casserole, grits, country apples and biscuits with gravy for less than $10??? The staff are really nice and the service was fast. Its the perfect place to stop off before you indulge in hours of outlet shopping.

Consistently great food and great service. I am always pleasantly surprised at how well they take care of you at this chain.

Down home cooking, if you like gravy you will like this place. I like the breakfasts and pecan pancakes. Cute country store too.

Ok to no surprise I had to wait to be seated, but it is understood the food here is good and the hospitality world class. Don't worry there are plenty of things to look at in the waiting area/store. They have all kinds of candies, clothes, and mugs etc. you might want to wait outside with the kids. The sugar rush might be to tempting. Yelp has this on a map further down the road then where it is at. Hopefully they will fix it soon. Anyways back to the place. As you should know by now I am a fatty boy and I love good food and I will continue to enjoy it as long as my metabolism stays burning. With that said I ordered some pancakes, french toast, and scrambled with cheese. To wash down all this deliciousness I got a coffee and sweet tea. You must try the sweet tea it's perfect in my opinion.i didn't care for the eggs or the sausage patties, BUT let me tell you "The Pancakes and the French Toast" where outstanding. They are a must try coming here. I got the Buttermilk ones can't speak for the other kinds, but like the Terminator said "I'll be BACK!

Given that I was one other person, there wait time for me. Although, I have to agree that parking seems a bit of a pinch. Service and food was great! Our waiter, Dav, was extremely nice and attentive. Cups were always filled and plates were cleared. Ordered Southern , Rainbow Trout (my favorite), and ribs. Everything was seasoned and cooked properly. The fish and ribs tasted as they should be, not like other restaurants that overcook or dump insanely sweet sauce to bland meat. We loaded our side with veges so I have no complaints there. For dessert, I got the Frozen Mug Sundae and because I mentioned I preferred the almonds over the sauce, Dav was kind enough to put an extra amount of nuts which made me the happiest camper. None of our orders were messed up. Sure we waited a while for our food, but it was within reason. As for the store, it's a quaint area to walked around after a good meal. The staff there were gracious and helpful when I had any questions. Overall, I was immensely impressed and "pleasantly surprised", as another reviewer has put it. I'll be sure to come back whenever I visit.

I come here for the Rainbow Trout dinner. I'm a Southern girl and this is the closet I can get to Southern home-style cooking in Rehoboth. They also have Pineapple Upside Down Cake...makes me happy! Attentive fast service can be sketchy but I've had pretty good luck with the wait staff here. It's also a good place to find old fashioned candy and goodies which remind me of my childhood...just plain old baby boomer marketing at its best. Yes, it's only Cracker Barrel but the food is cheap and refills are free. It's not a bad place to save a few bucks every now and then.

Wanted to try Cracker Barrel because I've heard of it but never been - was pleasantly surprised! It was more of a sit-down restaurant than I had expected (I had expected more fast-food style) and kind of reminded me of Boston Market, but with a lot more options. We got the rainbow trout and sampler (chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, sugar ham) with fried okra, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, mixed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots), baked sweet potato, fried apples, corn muffins, and biscuits. My favorites were the rainbow trout and fried okra (hot and fresh), Mac n cheese wasn't bad either. Think the trout was a really good deal and seemed pretty healthy. I had wanted to try the hash brown casserole but they were out. Wasn't too impressed by the chicken and dumplings, not much chicken and a lot of dumplings. Service was friendly. At first, it took forever for a waiter to show (there was probably some confusion, we had to flag someone down to get a waiter), but once we got someone, they were friendly and helpful. It was also nice to play the peg game while we wee waiting. Didn't know it was attached to a store so that was also cool to see.

First time at a Cracker Barrel, and I can honestly say with some amount of certainty, that all the things that people love about Cracker Barrel, I hate. I hate that it's kid friendly. I hate that you have to walk through the main store to get to the restaurant. I only kind of hate how you get a crap ton of food for your dollar (it's only somewhat good). Service was great though. Took about 40 minutes to be seated on a Saturday afternoon.

Well, I actually went inside twice this year! It is across the parking lot from the Econolodge, so it is great for a quickie if you can avoid the breakfast/lunch lines. I had the lunch sized turkey sandwich, no fries. It was nicely served on sourdough toast with lettuce and tomatoes with a small side of mayo that tasted old. My next visit for breakfast was better. Our server let me choose an assortment of breakfast meats to go with my scrambled egg, grits, and biscuits. Sausage gravy (we didn't waste our carbs on that!) was served along with warm biscuits, butter and jelly. The staff is friendly and professional. Seating is handled efficiently here, and customers really enjoy rocking on the porch rather than standing in line. This is still the highlight of my visits, especially at breakfast. Our server was very nice and accurate with our order, and she checked on us several times. Thanks to?? Since she didn't give us her name. Slight downer -- coffee refills are available only if you can catch the other server's (we named him "chatty chuck") attention away from the other tables. He needs to (shut up &) keep his job moving! Clean up by the staff was also well done between each seating. No dirty tables this year! I will return when I am in the area.

as far as chain restaurants go, its pretty good. we had breakfast and the coffee was decent, and the egg and cheese sandwich was good. breakfast casserole is a must although im sure its a billion calories.

Out of a fluke, I hadn't been to a Cracker Barrel in years, so tonight I decided to break the streak and was sure glad I did. We were seated promptly and immediately greeted by Sarah, our server. He ordered a side salad while I craved my childhood favorite platter of ham w/ mashed potatoes and applesauce. His salad was not originally correct (he asked for a plain salad, only lettuce and got one with tomato and onion), but they corrected it immediately and apologized for the inconvenience. Between the two of us, dinner cost a mere $10.48! Even with fast food you can't achieve those prices, plus the girls here are so much more pleasant to deal with!

It's a chain but I still had to review. We have visited cracker barrel (CB) plenty of times. Easy access off of Rt.1 south on your right. Parking lot is big and ample parking. Let's hit on the service... Line was out the door to get seated but once we reached the hostess station we were seated immediately which was great. Drinks came out fast but then things came to a halt. It took an extra long time to get our ordered food. Surprising considering our previous CB experiences. We weren't the only ones without our food. It seems the hold up was in the kitchen. Food finally came out but it was cold. Not a good breakfast experience.

Wished I was more familiar with the portion sizes because this was my first time ever going to Cracker Barrel. My daughter asked for Mac and cheese and green beans and the waitress suggested two sides for her which would be more than enough. Well not according to us my daughter is a tiny 7 year old and the sides were so small the Mac and cheese tasted amazing though just wished it was more bc she didn't like her green beans since they tasted like they had some kind of broth on them - to each his own I guess. The hubby had steak with fried okra and that was yummy. I had a small plate of ham with the applesauce - again too small for me and I aint no big lady. The ham was too dry as well. As a previous reviewer stated go to I-hop it is way better with bigger portions too. I was missing I hop while eating my dinner haha. We had wanted to order dessert but then didn't bc our servers didn't attend to our table in a timely manner- it was waay too long before they came back to our table after they had cleared up our dinner plates. By then we were all irritated and wanted to get out of there. So, so long peach cobbler and so long Cracker Barrel.

I love this place!! I had never been to a CB before and let me tell you...This place is amazing. The store is insanely cute, the food is excellent (chicken and dumplings!!), huge portions, and VERY cheap ($35 for 4 people). I wish they had one in NY...

Go to IHOP instead. It's just down the street. Food was slow and our waiter messed up our order. People who came in after us got their food first and then he over charged us. Quality of the food was decent and the grits was good. How can you really mess up eggs and hash brown anyways? I have to say the store in front was quite interesting and that's why I gave them 3 stars.

Each year when we are on vacation, we always have our breakfast here. The staff is more than accommodating of our large family group and we have never once had a bad experience to speak of. The food is always consistent,... southern cooking is so tasty. They have a lot of options for folks who are watching their carbs too. You can get breakfast at any time of the day and the portions are great. My kids enjoy the shop section with all the toys, sweets and knickknacks. We always like the convenience of sitting outside on the rocking chairs when waiting for a table. Each year we talk about buying one... but for the distance we have to travel, we'd purchase it at the location in Harrisburg PA (close to our home). I can't say enough nice things about this location. If you're looking for good food, a relaxing time and a great staff, you've come to the right place.

Since its a chain, I'm guessing most yelpers will be familiar with it and like most of mu reviews for chains, the review is not a commentary on the food unless something is drastically different from other chain locations. The food is exactly the same here. I love the pancakes from Cracker Barrel. I wasn't even in the mood to eat but they don't have this chain in California so I have to stop by when I know one is near. The reason for the 5 stars you ask...Even with a boatload of people streaming in the wait time never got crazy. For me it was about 15 minutes. Not too bad when they are sitting groups of 10 and 15 all of the place. The hostess was pleasant and friendly and I noticed they employ elderly people which I don't see often in food service (and in this economy the elderly need as much money as the rest of us). But the real reason for the 5 stars was the waitress. I wish I would have gotten her name. Anyways, I wanted to order the Peach Tea but she informed me that it was made with splenda. I am so happy she did because I hate the fake sugar crap. Ill happily take diabetes instead. Yuck! So I declined but she told me the raspberry tea did not have splenda. Yay! Ill go with that. When it came time to ordering I got a plate with pancakes, eggs and a meat item. I don't do meat so I asked if I could substitute it for fried apples. She advised me that there would be an extra charge of around $1 which I was okay with. When the food came out it was only pancakes but she immediately came up to me and told me that the hold up was because the eggs looked janky so she returned them. I have never had a wait person preemptively return crappy food. So high five for that! And it was like a 1 minute wait for the eggs and apples. After all that, and even though it was busy, she kept checking on me and my water was refilled regularly. Pleasant, informative and preemptive - Service like this does not come around too often. Oh! and she never charged me for substituting the fried apples. Although the bill was around $9 I tipped her $5. Whenever I get hook ups like how she did with the fried apples I always add it to the servers tip. Plus, I wanted her to be aware that some customers are truly appreciative when food service workers do a fantastic job.
